The Beginning of My Writing Journey

Every journey has a beginning — sometimes it’s planned, and sometimes, it simply finds you. My writing journey began unexpectedly back in college. I still remember the day I was working on my first research paper — something that had to be presented in front of higher authorities. I had written the entire paper myself, word by word, driven purely by curiosity and the love of expression. That moment sparked a thought — why not start writing beyond academics?

But life, as it often does, had its own plans. Soon, I stepped into motherhood and that small spark of a writing dream had to wait. Yet destiny wasn’t done reminding me of what I loved. During my master’s degree, I was required to write a 50-page thesis — entirely original, without any copied content — along with another paper for an international journal. I poured my days and nights into research, brainstorming, and writing every single line from scratch. When both my thesis and the research paper were completed and accepted, it reignited my confidence — I could write, truly write.

After completing my master’s, I started writing across different niches — education, politics, and even my personal experiences — on Blogspot. Gradually, I began sharing my thoughts on Quora and other social media platforms. Writing became my way of connecting — with myself and with others.

In 2021, I received an internship offer in digital marketing. My world of words soon merged with strategies, campaigns, and content creation. Though I explored multiple domains, I realized something simple but profound — I always came back to writing. It was my constant, my space, my peace.

Today, this platform — The Gurpreet Writing World — is where I reclaim that part of me fully. A world where I write freely, where words have no boundaries, and where I can express every shade of thought and emotion.

Writing, for me, isn’t just a skill — it’s freedom, it’s healing, it’s home.

Welcome to my writing world — where every word marks another step in my journey.
